Juhlameininki

Eräänä toukokuun perjantaina oli tilaisuus, johon pitkin kevättä oli pikkuhiljaa valmistauduttu. Siispä jopa minä jaksoin nyt kaivaa kynsilakat esille ja askarrella muuhun asukokonaisuuteen sopivat kynnet.

Pukukoodina iltapuku, joka lopulta löytyi Vero Modasta erittäin kohtuulliseen hintaan. Alaosa on läpinäkyvä, mutta mekko on täyspitkä ja pieni läpinäkyvyys ehkä tuo mekkoon vähän lisäluonnetta. Kaupoille lähtiessä oli selvää, että luultavasti musta maksimekko sieltä kotiutuisi ja niinhän siinä lopulta kävikin.

Musta maksi kaipasi kuitenkin vähän väriä rinnalleen ja kotona valmiina odottanut musta bleiseri lisäsi settiin jo liian paljon mustaa. Joten uusi ostoskierros ja H&M:ltä löysin tuon luonnonvalkoisen bleiserin. Kirkkautensa lisäksi pidän hurjasti sen pituudesta ja kiertävästä vetoketjusta. Kun bleiseri oli ostettu, oli kynsienkin värimaailma selvillä. Viimeiseksi etsin vielä sopivat korut. Korut kävin ostamassa Glitteristä, kerrankin tuli katseltua myös kullan värisiä koruja - yleensä kun suosin vain hopeaa.

Aluksi ajatuksena oli jatkaa tummaa värimaailmaa kynsille, mutta koska suurin osa asusta oli mustaa, otin väreiksi vaaleanpunaisen ja kullan. Liian yliampuvia kynsiä en halunnut ja ehtona oli myös se, että kynsillä ei olisi mitään ulkonevia elementtejä kuten strasseja. Lisäksi kynsien pitäisi näyttää selkeiltä kauempaakin katsottuna. Muutaman päivän pohdinnan jälkeen päädyin teippailemaan Nail Vinylsien avulla kynsiin kultaiset kolmiot. Kolmioilla varmistin sen, että kynnet olivat myös viimeiseen asti omannäköiseni. Samalla kynnet onnistuivat olemaan siistit, mutta omaamaan vähän luonnettakin.

Pääsin vihdoin myös käyttämään F.U.N Lacquerin Million Dollar Dreamia, joka on kyllä aika huikea kultainen glitterlakka. Pitäisi olla erilaisia juhlallisuuksia enemmänkin tai sitten pitäisi vaan opetella käyttämään kaikkia lakkoja joka tilanteessa, eikä säästellä niitä spesiaaleihin tapahtumiin.

One Friday on May there was an occasion that I've been preparing throughout this spring, little by little. So even I had the power to get those nail polishes out from the Helmer and do nails that would fit to my outfit of the day. I can't see problem in showing my face here in the blog, so let's see how my nails fitted the outfit I had on that night.

The dress code was a evening dress for the ladies that I was finally able to find from Vero Moda in a very decent price. The lower half is see through, but the dress is full length and I think that it brings some character to the dress. It was clear for me when leaving to find the dress that I would probably bring home a black maxi dress and that's exactly what happened. That black maxi did need something more to go with it and the blazer I already had waiting for me at home, was black. There was just too much black in that point, so I did another shopping round. I found my off-white blazer from H&M. In addition to it's brightness I really like that zipper that goes around the whole thing and the blazer's lenght. When the blazer was bought, I knew what the colors of my nail art would be. The only thing I needed now was the jewelry. Those I bought from Glitter. It was nice to look at gold colored jewelry - normally I only go for silver.

First I thought about continuing that dark coloring to my nails, but since most of my outfit was already black, I decided to go with light pink and gold. I didn't want to make my nails look over the top and one of my requirements was also that my nails wouldn't have anything that I would be able to tear off, like strasses. Another thing was, that the nails needed to look clear even from looking further away. After a few days of thinking I decided to use some Nail Vinyls to make golden triangles on my nails. By using triangles I made sure that these nails would look like me. At the same time these nails managed to be elegant, but also had some character in them.

I finally got the chance to use F.U.N Lacquer's Million Dollar Dream, which is a great golden glitter polish. We should absolutely have more parties or at least I should learn how to use my polishes in every occasion and not spare them for special situations.
