#ablecs15 Week 16: I Do

Kesä on nyt jo virallisestikin ihan ovella ja sen mukana monilla varmasti niin valmistujaisia, häitä ja muita juhlia. Senpä vuoksi on mukava lopetella #ablecs15 -haaste virallisiin hääkynsiin. Yksi omista lakkausunelmistani on päästä lakkaamaan morsiammelle kynnet ja jossain vaiheessa itse asiassa suunnittelinkin blogiin teemaviikkoa aiheesta. Hääkynnet ovat hyvä teema mistä kynsiä ammentaa, koska vaihtoehtoja on niin monia. Miltä tällainen teemaviikko kuulostaa?

Tällä kertaa tein kuitenkin omaan silmääni vähän turhankin perinteisellä kaavalla olevat hääkynnet. Toisille nämäkin voivat olla jo vähän liikaa, mutta jos itse olisin menossa naimisiin niin saattaisin lisäillä vielä jotain muutakin. Ranskalainen manikyyri oli tottakai aika itsestäänselvä valinta. Alle ensin OPIn Bubble Bath, jotta pohjasta tulisi mahdollisimman siisti ja neutraali. Gina Tricotin Whitella tehdyt manikyyrit on tehty ihan vapaalla kädellä, muilla tekniikoilla ei niiden tekeminen itseltä onnistukaan. Harmi vaan, että etusormen kynsi otti osumaa ennen näiden kynsien tekemistä.

Leimaus on osuvasti MoYou Londonin Bridal 06 -laatasta. Sama pitsikuvio on jo aikaisemminkin ollut käytössä, taisipa jopa olla edellisen haasteen kynsissä. Yleisesti kyllä tykkään näistä kynsistä, vaikka normaalisti ihan näin klassisia kynsiä ei itselläni kyllä nähdä.

Nyt 16 viikkoa ja 32 kynnet ovat siis paketissa! Yhtä ylpeä en luomuksiini ole kuin #ablecaw14 -haasteen aikana, mutta mitä sitten - mukana pysyin kuitenkin. Vaikka kynnet on nyt tehty, niin haasteen läpikäynti tulee jatkumaan blogissa vielä.

Summer is now officially just starting and with that comes all kinds of celebrations, for example graduations and weddings. That's why it's nice to end the #ablecs14 -challenge with official wedding nail art. One of my nail art dreams is to get to polish bride's nails and at some point I was actually planning to do a theme week about that. Wedding nail art is such a great theme because nail art for wedding can be almost anything. How does a theme week like this sound?

This time I decided to make nails that are a bit too traditional for my own taste. For someone this might be too much, but if I was getting married I would add even more to these. French manicure was of course an obvious choice. First I added OPI's Bubble Bath so that the base would be as clean as possible. French manicure is made with Gina Tricot's White, I hand painted them since it's they only way I can do french manicures. It's too bad that my index finger's nail had to fall apart before doing these nails.

The stamping is from MoYou London's Bridal 06 -plate. The same lace -pattern has been on the blog before, I think it was in the last challenge. I think I quite like these nails, even though you wouldn't normally see nail art as classic as these are, on my nails.

Now 16 weeks and 32 set of nails are wrapped! I'm not as proud of my creations as I was at the end of the last challenge (#ablecaw14), but who cares - I managed to hang on. Even though all of the nails are now done, I'm going to go through this challenge still a bit more on the blog.

#ablecs15 Week 7: My Most Used Polish

Eniten käytettyjen kynsilakkojen joukkoon kuuluu loogisesti valkoinen ja musta. Näiden lisäksi myös Essien Go Ginza ja Zoyan Dream, mutta nyt ei ollut sellainen olo, että olisin niistä halunnut tehdä kynnet. Yksi vuoden aikana paikkansa komeasti kokoelmassa ansainnut lakka on OPIn I Just Can't Cope-Acabana. Se on ollut jo niin monessa lakkauksessa mukana, että pian saan alkaa pohtia varapullon hankkimista. Tähän lakkaukseen lähti ajatus @sloteazzyn Batman -kynsistä. Jätin vain lepakot pois nimettömistä ja tein jokaiseen kynteen ranskalaisen manikyyrin. Väriyhdistelmä oli se asia mikä näissä kynsissä itseeni vetosi, musta ja keltainen näyttävät yhdessä niin hyviltä.

Pitkästä aikaa löysin oikeasti aikaa hoitaa kynsinauhoja, Lemony Flutterin kanssa kun aina kestää, että se imeytyy. Tämä toimenpide paransi heti lakkauksenkin ulkonäköä. Tämä on ensimmäinen ranskalainen manikyyri minkä olen tehnyt sen jälkeen, kun aloin käyttämään Sally Hansenin 18K Gold Hardeneria. Vähän se tuppaa näkymään tuolta OPIn Bubble Bathin alta, mutta ei kuitenkaan pahasti.

Kynnet eivät kovin hyvin säilyneet, jostain syystä ranskalaiset manikyyrit kuluvat omilla kynsillä todella nopeasti. Nämäkin jouduin poistamaan jo seuraavana päivänä. Kuitenkin tykkäsin näistä kovasti, voisin kuvitella viihtyväni pidemmänkin aikaa. Varsinkin nyt kun kynnet oli juuri viilattu muotoon, näytti tumma manikyyri hyvältä.

My most used polishes logically include black and white polishes, but also Essie's Go Ginza and Zoya's Dream. I just wasn't feeling those polishes right now, so I went with polish, that has become one of my most trusted friends. OPI's I Just Can't Cope-Acabana has been used so many times that I need to start soon thinking about buying another bottle of it. I had an idea for these nails from @sloteazzy from Instagram and from her Batman -inspired nails. I just left away those bats and made every nail with a french manicure. The color combination was the thing that appealed to me the most, black and yellow always look so good together.

After a long time I finally found some time to take care of my cuticles, with Lemony Flutter you always need to take a bit time to wait for it to disapper. This immediately helped the look of my manicure. This is my first fresh manicure I have made after I started using Sally Hansen's 18K Gold Hardener. It shows a bit from under OPI's Bubble Bath, but not too much. These nails didn't keep well too long. For some reason almost every time I do french manicures, they go bad so fast. I needed to take these off after the next day. I really liked these nails, I could easily wear these for a longer time. Especially now when my nails were freshly filed, dark manicure looked so good.
