Polish of the Month, March 2015

Ihan sekopäisen huhtikuun takia maaliskuun lakkavalinnat tulevat vasta tässä ja nyt. Siksipä lakkojen sävy ei täysin vastaa kevätmeininkiä tai kuvausympäristö maaliskuuta. Kuvat on otettu parvekkeellani, joka on tällä hetkellä suuren suuri ilonaiheeni. Voitte siis varautua siihen, että parvekekuvailua on kesällä edessä enemmänkin!

OPI - Skating On Thin Ice-Land

Skating On Thin Ice-Land on syksyn 2014 Nordic -kokoelman toinen luumuinen lakka. Ice-Land on aavistuksen verran Viking In A Vinter Vonderlandia kirkkaampi. Syksyn ja talven aikana löysin ihastuksen näihin luumuisiin ja violettiin vivahtaviin lakkoihin, Ice-Land oli siis selvä hankinta vaikka hetki sen saamisessa kestikin.

OPI - Hey Baby

Hey Baby on osa Gwen Stefani kokoelmaa 2014 keväältä. Lakka on melko tumma pinkki eli ei ihan juuri se oma juttuni. Tätä tulee kuitenkin säännöllisesti käytettyä erilaisissa koristeluissa vaikka isommalla pinta-alalla lakka onkin kynsilläni tuntemattomampi. Lakka kävi syksyllä Anniella lainassa, jolloin Annie teki tämän vertailun Hey Babysta ja Girls Love Ponies -lakoista.

Zoya - Neely

Neely on Lovely -kokoelmaa keväältä 2013. Se on koostumukseltaan melko ohut, minttuinen creme. Ohuella tarkoitan sitä, että esimerkiksi liukuvärin tekemisessä en voi tätä lakkaa suosia, se ei jaksa tarpeeksi erottua valkoisesta. Neely on siis todellinen pastellinen minttu.

Because of a totally crazy April, I'm postin the Polish of the Month, March -post only now. That's why the shades don't perfectly fit spring and the background of the pictures don't fit March. The pictures are taken on my balcony which gives me so much joy right now. You can start preparing yourself to see a lot more of pictures taken there!

OPI - Skating On Thin Ice-Land

Skating On Thin Ice-Land is part of fall 2014 Nordic -collection. It's the second plume -like polish from that collection. I also have Viking In A Vinter Vonderland, which is more darker shade. During fall and winter I found my love for this kind of plume and violet polishes. Getting Ice-Land was a clear choice, even though it took me a long time to get there.

OPI - Hey Baby

Hey Baby is from spring 2014, from the Gwen Stefani -collection. This polish is quite dark pink polish, so not really my main color. I still regularly use this for different kind of nail art, even though you can't see this polish on bigger pieces of my nails. This polish was borrowed by Annie on the fall, she wrote this review between Hey Baby and Girls Love Ponies.

Zoya - Neely

Neely was published on the Lovely -collection on spring 2013. It's quite thin and a minty creme. By thin I mean that I can't use this polish when making gradients, it can't stand out from white polish. Neely is really a pastel mint polish.

#ablecs15 Week 6: I Thought I'd Never

Ihan todella kuvittelin, että tämä viikko tulisi blogin suhteen olemaan taas vähän aktiivisempi. Viikon aikana olin yliopistolla joka päivä parhaimmillaan kahdeksaa tuntia syömättä, tämän jälkeen tulin kotiin ja jatkoin kouluhommien kanssa. Kun se ei vielä ihan riittänyt niin nappasin sitten vielä flunssan ja loput koulupäivät painoin vielä se mukanani. Lauantain makasin koko päivän sohvalla, liian väsyneenä edes katsomaan elokuvaa kunnolla. Kuuntelin lähinnä musiikkia, samaa soittolistaa toistolla. Tänään piti jo vähän ryhdistäytyä, tehdä nämä kynnet ja alkaa valmistautua seuraavaan viikkoon. Viikko ei tule olemaan kovinkaan paljon helpompi, koska nyt pitäisi vielä tehdä kasa hommia mitä en voi jättää enää seuraavalle viikolle. Pienemmästäkin jo vähän väsähtää?

Kun välillä mieli kaipasi vähän lepuuttamista niin tuli pohdittua tätä haasteteemaa. Aluksi ajattelin etten keksi yhtikäs mitään, mutta sitten päätin vetää koko homman vähän överiksi. Voin ihan todella vannoa, että en ikinä ajatellut laittavani kynsille strösseleitä, mutta nyt sekin on sitten koettu ja tehty. Kiitos taas tälle meidän haasteelle!

Muille kynsille tein liukuvärin, valitettavasti ainakana tuo uusi Color Clubin Look, Don't Tusk ei jaksa erottua valkoisesta lakasta yhtään. Mutta yritin valita väreiksi mahdollisimman samat kuin strösseleistä löysin. Ja ei, en pitänyt näitä kynsiä hetkeäkään arkielämässä. Otin kuvat ja otin lakkaukset pois. Ei siis ole jakaa kokemuksia miten nuo kynsillä pysyvät - erittäin huonosti kuvittelisin.

I really, really thought that this week would be easier and I could spend more time with this blog. During this week I spent about eight hours a day at university without eating, after this came home and started working with school again. Like that wasn't enough I ended up getting a flu and have struggled with that. I spent my Saturday lying on a couch, too tired to even watch a movie. I just listened to music, the same songs over and over again. Today I needed to get a grip and start preparing for next week and do these nails. Unluckily for me, next week won't be any easier. I could get tired over a bit less?

When I didn't want to think about school, I thought about this theme. First I thought I wouldn't get an good ideas, but then I decided to go overboard with these nails. I can really say that I didn't ever think using sprinkles on my nails, but now I have done that. I have only this challenge to be thankful for this! I did a gradient for the other nails, unfortunately new Color Club's Look, Don't Tusk didn't have the energy to stand up from white polish. I tried to pick colors as near to the ones on the sprinkles. And no - I didn't keep these nails in everyday life for a moment. When I had taken the pictures, I took these nails off. So I don't have any experience in how these nails keep. I imagine that not really well. What do you think about these nails?
